St. Aengus' Church 4 Interior
The circular chapel has a sweeping copper-covered roof which is almost like a tent draped over the church and detached from the walls by a ring of stained glass windows.

St. Aengus’ Church or ‘Burt Chapel’ was designed by the famous architect Liam McCormick between 1964 and 1967. The church was awarded the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) Triennial Gold Medal and was also awarded the title of ‘Building of the Century’ by a national poll.
