St. Aengus' Church 3
As sunlight streams through the glass panels at the top of the spire, the effect of light is stunning. If you look closely you can see the flickers of colour from the stained glass windows.
St. Aengus' Church
St. Aengus’ Church or ‘Burt Chapel’ was designed by the famous architect Liam McCormick between 1964 and 1967. The church was awarded the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) Triennial Gold Medal and was also awarded the title of ‘Building of the Century’ by a national poll.
