Owencarrow Railway Viaduct 4
While building the piers, the land is majority bogland (wet soft marshy ground), which meant that the foundations had to be laid on sheepskins.
Located near Creeslough, the Owencarrow Railway Viaduct on the Burtonport Extension of the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway was the largest engineering structure anywhere on the narrow gauge railway in Ireland. The remains of the structure are still visible despite the railway closure in 1947.
Nearest town or village: Creeslough.
